Nuit de Tokyo (春翔)
Nuit de Tokyo (春翔) is a French nawashi in the Yukimura-ryū.
Era: 2000s
NAWASHI · TEACHER · INTERPRETER
French nawashi, interpreter / translator and certified Yukimura-ryu instructor using the Yukimura name Haru Kakeru. He first traveled to Japan in 1989 and began collecting kinbaku books in the early 1990s; Kinbaku Today dates his serious hands-on Tokyo-scene study to an extended stay around 2003. He names Osada Steve as his first real teacher; Osada introduced him to Akechi Kanna and Yukimura Haruki in 2005. After Kanna returned in 2010, Nuit de Tokyo completed the full Nawashi Kanna Rope Study Group course while also becoming a certified Yukimura-ryu instructor after long-term study with Yukimura. KNOTY and Rope Podcast both frame this as long-term immersion rather than workshop sampling. He has also taken lessons with Nureki Chimuo, Randa Mai, Miura Takumi, Arisue Go, Saikatsu, Hige, Masato Marai and others. Public traces include Onawa Asobi / Tokyo / Osaka / Sydney / Hong Kong performance contexts, interpreter or MC work around Naka Akira, Ranki Kazami, Ren Yagami and Tenma Haru, and English / French translation for Yagami-ryu study material. Teacher / mentor context for Steve Freeman and Davide La Greca.
