KINBAKUSHI · TEACHER

Italian kinbakushi, teacher, performer and author whose public alias is MaestroBD. His official bio says he first approached rope in 1990, was teaching shibari by 2004, studied from books and early online video material from 2001, travelled to London in 2010 to learn in person, and in 2015 found his main path in Tokyo as a Yukimura Haruki student before becoming a certified instructor in 2016. Shibari Dojo Italy says the first school opened in Rome in 2012 and later grew into a network of dojos in Bologna, Milano, Pavia, Toscana, Veneto and Brescia, directly managed by Davide La Greca / MaestroBD with Lucio Pat Foster, with online and private lessons plus a structured five-level curriculum and safety-course / test pattern. Kinbaku Today's 2016 interview adds early Go Arisue / Midori / Nobuyoshi Araki visual and book influences, Nuit de Tokyo's mentor / Tokyo-scene introduction role, a 2014 post-Yukimura turning point, 2011 London encounters with Hajime Kinoko and Shigonawa Bingo, and a Tokyo Onawa Asobi stage trace. Public event traces also document EURIX II 2013, BoundCon Munich 2017, Onawa Asobi Europe 2020, Shanghai Ex Studio sessions, a BoFeWo Frankfurt/Main show and Obscene 2026 in Karlsruhe; BoFeWo's performer profile adds general Europe / Japan / United States study and teaching context.
