Naoko (奈緒子)

Naoko (奈緒子) is a Hong Kong-based nawashi in the Naka-ryū.

Hong Kong-born, London-based shibari artist, performer and educator formerly known as Subay / 緒本子. Founded Kokoro Studio in Hong Kong (2015-2025) and Studio Yukari in London in 2022; Studio Yukari's physical London space ceased operation in November 2025 and continued separately as Studio Ma. After early study trips to Japan and a short 2014 encounter with Yukimura Haruki, she focused on Naka Akira's semenawa approach; current Nawa Jyou Wa, Studio Yukari and Yugen Studio sources state that in 2023 she was recognized as Naka Akira's third deshi and is part of Nawa Naka Kai. Has taught and performed internationally across Asia, Europe and North America.
