Ibarako Harumayu (荊子春繭)

Ibarako Harumayu (荊子春繭) is a Japanese nawashi in the Yukimura-ryū.

Era: 2010s

NAWASHI · TEACHER

Tokyo-based Japanese kinbakushi, teacher and official Yukimura Style instructor under the Harumayu name. Nawapedia records early bar-event activity around 1998, CineMagic package / VTR rope work in 1999, a 2000 S&M Sniper article, and her 2000 debut as Eizo Chiba's apprentice followed by roughly four years of apprenticeship. In a 2025 Nawa Jyou Wa interview she describes an art-school background in wrapping / binding, meeting Chiba through butoh / underground film connections, and being introduced to Yukimura Haruki at a CineMagic-related Meguro House shoot by producer Hayakawa. She learned from Yukimura by watching and assisting video production, later joined Yukimura-ryu lessons with Eve Himuro and Murasaki Haruan, and became the 14th licensed Yukimura Style instructor in 2016. Her practice frames rope as emotional expression and non-verbal communication rather than control alone. Nawapedia also records film / V-cinema / manga-support / adult-label contexts, individual teaching at Influence since 2016, Nawa Yuugi / Yukimura Style performance traces, and several instructional works.
