Onawa Asobi Europe 2020 runs 22–23 Feb in Antwerp, Belgium.

European edition of the Tokyo-based Onawa Asobi kinbaku festival, held at Shibari Lounge in Antwerp. The Tokyo festival has run yearly since 2009 under Yoi Yoshida and is described by Onawa Europe as a stepping stone for many Japanese shibarite, including Naka Akira, Hajime Kinoko, Ranki Kazami, Ren Yagami, Kasumi Hourai, Shigonawa Bingo and Ero Ouji. Yoi Yoshida teamed with BeShibari / Marc BeShibari and Shibarista Jess to bring the format to Antwerp in 2020; later European editions followed in 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. The event frames itself as two days of amateur Japanese and European kinbaku performances, Shibari Night rope parties, friendship, cultural exchange and sincere rope interaction rather than a competition or masterclass convention.
