Melbourne-based Australian nawashi and certified Yukimura-ryu instructor identified as Haruteru (春輝), also credited publicly as Scott / Scott Haruteru. Haruteru is Yukimura-ryu license #6; his name Haruteru, translated as spring radiance, was given when he received his instructor licence. He started shibari in 2006, began regular Japan trips in 2009, had his first lesson with Yukimura Haruki in 2010, and continued yearly study until Yukimura's death in 2016, including Yukimura's 2014 Melbourne trip. From 2011 to 2018 he ran Melbourne Rope Dojo, teaching Yukimura-ryu and Osada-ryu; a 2018 workshop archive also notes earlier study with Osada Steve. He currently teaches weekly Yukimura-ryu classes. Past students include Ash Snare and Von Riga; Ash has a modeled study edge, while Von Riga / Soul Rope remains parked as a possible standalone Melbourne-scene follow-up.
