Naarm / Melbourne-based shibari / kinbaku artist, performer, teacher and curator. Von Riga began shibari / kinbaku under Scott Haruteru in 2014, later studying with a wider range of local and international teachers while developing an independent style around passion, provocation, poetry, presence and partner connection. Eventbrite describes Von Riga as a founding curator of Melbourne's Shibari Lounge performance night and as a live performer from underground clubs to festival stages. ASSFest and Giddy Garden sources identify Von Riga with Soul Rope Studios, founded in 2022, with weekly classes in Naarm / Melbourne.
