Shanghai shibari studio / TIE UP! scene location opened in 2018 by Davide LaoDai and Ayame after TIE UP! began in 2017. Shibari Study's official 2024 Laodai podcast bio describes Studio K as the first shibari studio in Shanghai and credits Laodai with creating Mainland China's first public rope party. Studio Yukari's Laodai / Ayame event bio says Studio K hosted Japanese and international teachers including Murasaki Haruan, Naoko / Subay, Avalon, Hajime Kinoko, Zima and Ren Yagami. Current @studiokshibari profile wording spans Shanghai and Bangkok, but the reviewed public sources do not yet establish a separate Bangkok successor studio.
