Murasaki Haruan (紫春晏)
Murasaki Haruan (紫春晏) is a Japanese kinbakushi in the Yukimura-ryū.
Era: 2010s
KINBAKUSHI · TEACHER
Tokyo-based Japanese kinbakushi, professional mistress, teacher and photographer working as Murasaki / Haruan. Nawapedia records her professional-mistress debut in 2002, apprenticeship to Yukimura Haruki from 2006, and April 9 2014 certification as the 10th instructor for Yukimura Style Rope Play; the Yugen Studio workshop bio adds that she met Yukimura in 2003, assisted his video shoots, became one of his first formal students when classes started in 2006, and accompanied him as teaching assistant to Los Angeles in 2012 and Sydney / Melbourne in 2014. She was the first woman and first Japanese person certified by Yukimura, receiving the Haruan (春晏) name. After Yukimura's death in 2016 she began accepting a limited number of students, taught a 2017 LA workshop through Zetsu / LA Rope Dojo, later taught at Studio K Shanghai, Yugen Studio Milan and Karada House Berlin, and is presented by Karada House as an official successor of Yukimura-ryu kinbaku and founder of Grace Rope Lab. Ibarako Harumayu's own sources mention Murasaki in Ibarako's Yukimura-ryu study context; that context is modeled separately from Murasaki's independent teaching role. Kinbaku Today presents her later photography with Shizuki Iroha as part of keeping Yukimura-ryu alive.
