Ryuan (流庵殿)

Ryuan (流庵殿) is a Spanish nawashi in the Yagami-ryū.

Spanish nawashi and instructor based in Gijón, Asturias. Active in the Spanish shibari scene since approximately 2004–2005, making him one of the most senior Western practitioners. Leads Nawakai Gijón / Escuela de Shibari, a Yagami-ryu dojo for in-person teaching in Asturias, and Shibari Dojo as an online Spanish-language school. Developed the #MSAFE teaching methodology for accessible rope education. A 2017 interview describes Osada Steve's 2010 Barcelona workshop as a positive influence on his perspective and preserves his Gijón organizing context around a Hajime Kinoko tour stop. Ren Yagami's official profile says Ryuan began studying under Yagami Ren in 2016 and became a certified instructor in 2018; a current atlas context gives the Japanese certification wording as 流庵殿 認定教師 鵺神流初傳.
