Escuela de Shibari / Gijón Shibari Dojo

Escuela de Shibari / Gijón Shibari Dojo, 2004–, is a Spanish dojo in the bakushi / kinbaku ecosystem.

Gijón-based shibari school rooted in Ryuan's Yagami-ryu training. The project opened its first dedicated space as Nawakai Gijón in 2004, later operated the 100-plus-square-metre Kinky Club and eventually moved to the current rural dojo. Today Escuela de Shibari combines in-person pair and small-group teaching with the Shibari Dojo online platform. The school teaches Sekibaku through #MSAFE ("Make Shibari Accessible For Everyone"), its own pedagogy centred on physical and emotional safety, technical and biomechanical foundations rather than fixed patterns, individual adaptation, progressive learning, and active participation and shared responsibility in both roles.
