KINBAKUSHI · RESEARCHER

Japanese kinbakushi and classical rope / hojojutsu researcher born in Osaka in 1966. Public sources identify him as Harutokyou / 春兜京 / Haru-to-Kyou, an Akechi Denki and Bakuyukai-circle figure: he managed and later bought Ikebukuro fetish bar BUG from 2002, opened Haru BAR after closing BUG, and in 2006 was recorded in second-generation / second-delegate Bakuyukai context after Akechi's death. Kinbaku Today frames his work as nonprofessional, conjectural research into historical martial / penal rope practices, based on museums, old residences, archives, drawings and documents, and records that he learned around Akechi by observation rather than formal teaching. Current public surfaces link him to 春兜京STUDIO, Haru BAR and related project accounts. He also appears as self in the 2021 documentary Bound.
