Harukumo (春蜘)

Harukumo (春蜘) is a Chilean nawashi in the Yukimura-ryū.

Era: 2010s

NAWASHI · TEACHER

Swiss nawashi and Yukimura-ryu instructor using the bakushi name Harukumo / Harukumo Katsumi. Harukumo-Juku's official team page traces a first long Tokyo stay in 2005-2006 and first encounter with Osada Steve at Studio SIX, followed by a 2011-2012 Tokyo stay in which Osada introduced him to Yukimura Haruki for intensive lessons. The same CV lists Harukumo as co-instructor and interpreter at a 2012 Copenhagen Yukimura workshop, then records intensive Studio SIX instruction and assistance in early 2014, receiving the Harukumo name from Yukimura and an instructor licence on April 16, 2014. In June 2014 he founded Harukumo-Juku in Zürich Oerlikon with Yoko, combining the teaching approach of Yukimura Haruki and Osada Steve with the Kitagawa Salon-inspired juku model; the Juku later operated in Neuenhof for the 2019 Osada Steve workshop series and announced a new home in Koblenz, Aargau in 2020. Later official entries document Osada-ryu kyū study / exams, first and second Osada Steve workshop series in Switzerland, a 2018 Helsinki Yukimura-ryu workshop and ongoing private lessons / workshops focused on Yukimura-ryu communication, Osada-ryu / Yukimura-ryu training structure and small-group supervision. A public 2021 Osada Steve online-class listing described Harukumo as a licensed Osada-ryu instructor and co-host / moderator; the current Osada-ryu directory instead lists Tokyo, Vienna, Bremen and Secret56 as the active accredited-dojo network and notes that instructor licenses are renewed yearly, so Osada-ryu is treated here as historical study / license context rather than Harukumo's current primary school assignment.
