Interview Magazine profiled Valentine Amartey in 2013 as a New York-based designer whose couture rope / knitwear work overlaps with performance and who taught rope-bondage classes at SHAG in Williamsburg. ShibariNews preserves the Brooklyn educator / performer framing, while Moxy Williamsburg's February 14, 2024 calendar independently bills a `Shibari Bondage Performance by Valentine Amartey` for SHAG's `A Night of Eros`.
