Russian bondage / shibari practitioner and teacher known as Uncle Shu / Dyadyushka Shu, who died in 2026. Public seminar announcements and a detailed participant review document his rope teaching before the later memorials, while multiple public remembrances describe him as an older Russian practitioner who saw shibari emerge in the country, studied further in Japan and created the Lab Uncle Shu project. The sources do not support a direct student relationship to Shigonawa Bingo.
