Crash Restraint's bio says he has studied rope bondage since 2007 and taught throughout North America since 2009, with a non-dogmatic approach combining Eastern and Western bondage, safety, reliable ties and adaptability to different bodies and play styles. His public technical impact includes the Somerville Bowline family, chest-loading takate-kote work, suspension-lift mechanics and safety / negotiation education. Current and archival sources frame him as an online-course creator and conference / workshop educator rather than a formal Japanese lineage figure.
