KINBAKUSHI · EDITOR

Early postwar Japanese kinbakushi, editor and writer. Nawapedia identifies Ueda as editor of Yomikiri Romance and notes Seiu Ito as a major influence. Yomikiri Romance's own chronology records Ueda as editor during the magazine's early-1950s shift into one of Japan's earliest recurring bondage-photo and SM publications. Kinbaku Books' 2016 Kinbaku Photo Senshu post further describes him as a younger friend of Itoh Seiu, credits him with the rope work for Yomikiri Romance's 1952 special bondage issue, and documents the early-1970s Kinbaku Photo Senshu anthology series. documented here as a bounded historical publishing / photo-book bridge, not as a broad pink-film hub.

School: Foundational

Influences (mutual or directional): Ito Seiu, Kayama Shigeru.
