Co-founder of NYC Shibari and NYC Street Shibari with Zero-Gi. Studying rope since 2012; teaming up with Zero-Gi in 2018. Known for technically innovative suspensions (Thighbinder, hashira TwistyPops). Prague Shibari Festival's Autumn 2025 presenter bio says Sam Jay picked up strong fundamentals from 2011 to 2017 in the Osada-ryu-based Melbourne Rope Dojo as one of the first five students, and names Sam Jay & Zero-Gi as international teachers / performers known for NYC Street Shibari, high-altitude urban suspensions and dynamic stage work. EURIX 2022 special guest; performer at Onawa Asobi Europe 2026.
