Athens-based Greek photographer, filmmaker, performer, teacher and shibari artist publicly working as Rope Shadow, Chris Shaghal and Christos Tsakalos. ShibariNews presents him as the local Athens Rope Dojo teacher from 2012 and ties him to Rope Studies, his shibari performance team. Independent Greek sources make the project relationship strong enough to model directly: Athens Voice says Rope Studies was created in late 2011 by Tsakalos and had already logged dozens of Athens performances by 2014, VICE describes Rope Studies as combining photography, live performance and seminars with Alice V. as the other named Rope Studies participant, and Booze Cooperativa's Rope Incident pages place Rope Studies and Athens Rope Dojo together in recurring Athens workshop / performance programming. Public sources also place Rope Studies in a 2013 Gorgone collaboration and a 2014 EURIX teacher / seminar context.
