Showa-era Japanese illustrator and painter active across postwar customs / SM magazine publishing. Nawapedia credits Akiyoshi with cover and illustration work from around 1950 onward, including Decameron, Fuzoku Soshi, Kitan Club, Uramado, Kinbaku-Bi, SM Collector, SM Fan, SM Kitan and SM Play. Atelier Third's 2024 English-page reissue notes that Tatsuhiko Shibusawa praised his dreamlike paintings and that his first solo exhibition was held posthumously at Aoki Gallery.
