US queer and trans rope artist, educator, performer and House of Bound creator. Shibari Study's 2023 episode presents Lief as a full-time rope artist and teacher in Los Angeles building House of Bound as a rope-education project. Rope Podcast EP127-128 frames Lief and Icarus / Icky as a Los Angeles queer / trans rope-educator and performance-artist pair focused on trauma-informed classes, top / bottom perspectives and rope-as-profession questions. House of Bound's bio says Lief began in the Boston rope scene, moved to Los Angeles in 2018, taught at TieHaus, Devil Mask Society and VoxBody, and later worked internationally with co-teacher / rope bottom Icky after their 2023 tour. The Subspace Exploration Project describes Lief and Icarus as an international rope-education pair now based in the San Francisco area.
