Hiroshi Urado (浦戸宏)

Hiroshi Urado (浦戸宏), born 1933, is a Japanese nawashi in the Nureki lineage.

NAWASHI

Japanese nawashi born 1933, one of the most recognised Japanese rope artists of his generation alongside Naka Akira, Yukimura Haruki, Nawashi Kanna and Hajime Kinoko. His publication work includes rope for IMAGE No.2, whose translated postscripts also document his editorial voice across IMAGE Nos.1–2 and the magazine's planned monthly format alongside Sun & Moon. Featured in the 'Jyowa' Rope Series documentary project (Tokyo, 2011). Visited at his Tokyo studio by Western masters including Master K.
