Silver State Shibari's official course page says Stabby and Morningstar met at a Los Angeles rope social in 2013, moved to Chicago in 2016, and that Stabby founded Second City Kinbaku to teach rope to queer community through an 18-month suspension-focused curriculum. Shibari Study identifies Daemon as a founder of both Second City Kinbaku and Silver State Shibari, placing the same curriculum lineage in Chicago and Reno.
