Tokyo-born, Berlin-based shibari and performance artist working publicly as CoCo Katsura. Her official site identifies her as a Japanese rope-bondage, fire and body-suspension performer, installation artist and shibari workshop teacher; it says she began body-modification performance in Tokyo's underground scene in 2000, moved to Berlin in 2011 and has performed on more than 100 stages internationally. ShibariNews independently profiles her as a choreographer, installation artist, workshop master and rope-bondage performer, while current host-side pages for Como Tattoo Convention and BMXnet name her in shibari performance contexts, including the CoCo Katsura & Shimo `Scarecrow` shibari / butoh performance.
