Moscow Knot / MoscowKnot International
Moscow Knot / MoscowKnot International, 2015–, is a Russian event in the bakushi / kinbaku ecosystem.
Era: 2010s
Moscow shibari / bondage festival lineage associated with Vlada Vedmovskaya's Russian-scene organizing work. Public traces use the Moscow Knot name for bondage-festival performances by 2015 / 2016, including Andrea Ropes and Xa Na, while BalkanBound's history frames MoscowKnot International as the 2018-present international event that connected practitioners and audiences and popularized shibari in Russia and abroad. RopeMarks' own archive documents a 2018 Moscow Knot edition at Mona Club with RopeMarks shows, a RopeMarks Ryu workshop and Yagami Ren in the same program, plus an October 2018 follow-up RopeMarks Ryu weekend at Club Predel organized by Vlada and Falco. Ka.sure describes Vlada as one of the founders and producers of Moscow Knot for many years. This entry keeps the early Moscow Knot performance traces and the later International format together because they belong to the same 2010s Moscow event lineage rather than separate visual eras.
