The official archive says the local gatherings began in early 2011 and often joined the worldwide simultaneous Bondage Picnic format; directly documented editions include June 29, 2014, June 28, 2015, a weather-delayed July 10, 2016 gathering and the January 22, 2017 continuation renamed `Picnic de Cuerdas`. The events were framed as free cross-style community gatherings rather than classes or commercial festivals.
