Balkan / Belgrade-centered shibari and rope-scene context from the 2010s public Serbian BDSM / performance layer to current dedicated shibari infrastructure and regional festival hosting. Early public traces include Akademija lepih boli as a Belgrade BDSM education / workshop scene, Sergej Pejić's credited shibari work for the 2015 Sajsi MC project, VICE Serbia's 2016 Belgrade BDSM documentary and later Nova.rs commentary on Serbian shibari development. Current traces include Maša Štrbac / Masha Mokosh and House of Mokosh, Azzky's Belgrade teaching / session / performance practice, NekoNeko Studio, KnotCoven and BalkanBound as a Belgrade-based international shibari festival presented as the first shibari festival in the Balkans.
