Travis Klose's documentary follows photographer Nobuyoshi Araki in Tokyo and places his work in cultural context through interviews with Björk, Takeshi Kitano, Richard Kern and Daido Moriyama. Contemporary festival and later catalog records report runtimes from 75 to 85 minutes.
Editorial note
Its close access to Araki and explicit treatment of his bondage imagery make the film a significant screen source for the visual history surrounding kinbaku. The documentary also covers Araki's wider life and photographic practice.
