Noboru Tanaka's third Angel Guts film follows a magazine journalist whose investigation of sexual-assault survivors becomes an increasingly troubling personal obsession. It adapts Takashi Ishii's manga.
Editorial note
Bondage and fetish performance appear within the film's exploration of images, voyeurism and sexual violence. Its place in the Angel Guts cycle connects manga and late-1970s Roman Porno; it is a fictional representation, not a record of contemporary rope practice.
